I arrived safely back in my apartment in Korea at 9 PM Monday night after 24 hours of thankfully uneventful travel. My flight from Chicago was delayed, but I still got into San Francisco with enough time to make my connection to Seoul. The turbulence wasn't too bad, unlike my flight from Seoul to Tokyo a few weeks ago. On that flight, people were literally screaming and coffee pots were rolling on the floor.
I taught from 10 AM until 8 PM yesterday, with a few breaks in between. I started to feel the jetlag in the late afternoon, which made that evening class a challenge. It was fun to see my students again. It's funny how those little ones grow on you after a while!
So it's just life as usual around here. I'm happy to be back but miss my family, of course. More later.

Hi,
Was just wondering on the internet and am so happy to find you and learn a little about Korea. Hoping you can be of some help to me. Just learned my daughter and her husband will be moving to Korea an taking my only grandson(15 mo. old). With all of your great experience with children I thought you may know how they will be able to care for the baby while living in Seoul? That is their major concern along with picking a good neighborhood to live in. They seem to find people to talk to with high school age children but no one with very young children. I realize this is not your normal email but I'm just a grandparent trying to help with any resources that will help make their move a little easier. Thanks!
PS Hope all of your tooth pain is gone by now!
Hi Ron. I'm glad you left a note. I can't really answer your question, but I may be able to direct your daughter and son-in-law to someone who can. If you happen to check this again, please send me an email: emherbert(at)gmail(dot)com.
