More thoughts on yellow dust

Yellow dust levels continue to skyrocket here. I'm just staying in today. I have plenty of work to do here anyway. Here's the latest graph from the US military showing dust levels in Seoul (1233 ug/m3). The levels are even higher just northwest of Seoul--1876ug/m3. Anything over 1000 is considered "hazardous" and people are told to "avoid all physical activity outdoors." High risk personnel are told to "remain indoors and keep physical activity low." I can feel my allergies acting up today, even though my windows are tightly sealed.

To show you the difference between a non-yellow-dust-day and a yellow-dust-day, look at these photos taken from my apartment window.

First, a beautifully clear day (3/11/2007):Now, here's the same scene, taken today at noon:Here's looking the other direction on 3/11/2007. Notice the mountain. And the same scene today at noon. Where'd the mountain go?
